Come On Baby Light My Fire

One of the most famous and best rock acts from the 60s is The Doors. Its vocalist and most famous member, the legendary Jim Morrison, posed circa 1966-1967 for photographer Joel Brodsky giving as a result the famed "Young Lion" photoshoot. Originally the photographer was shooting some promotional photos for the group but it was Jim who caught his attention.

Wearing only some leather pants, boots, and a thin necklace Jim posed with his "Lion mane" and rocker attitude to the camera. The result can be shown below with some photographs from this session.

Sadly in 1971, after a period of highs and lows, Jim Morrison died of an overdose. Coincidently he died the same age, 27, as fellow 60s rock icons and legends, Janis Joplin & Jimi Hendrix, who also died around the same period.

Yeah, it's legendary. I think one of the best photos ever taken probably due to the fact that it was all so spontaneous.
